The Center includes Basic Science, Clinical Research, and Population and Public Health, enabling both focused research and translational science. Pennington Biomedical Research Center, a world-renowned academic research institute of Louisiana State University, is seeking an Admin Coordinator in Population and Public Health working directly with the Greaux Healthy Program.

Greaux Healthy is a new prevention and treatment initiative aimed at combatting childhood obesity by leveraging state funding to attract outside grants and create an integrated network of evidence–based obesity treatment and prevention programs for children.

Administrative coordination of several grants, including research and training programs. The coordinator will assist with the day-to-day operations of these projects, working closely with the project directors and principal investigators. These duties include fiscal, human resource and travel advance processing; coordination of all travel related matters for faculty and staff; preparation of all correspondence and related documents; organizing meetings and recording minutes; overall office coordination including file management, word processing and development of materials for slide and graphic presentations; establishing and maintaining electronic files for identifying, recording and classifying data; coordination of incoming and outgoing mail; and other tasks as requested by supervisory faculty.


Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years experience in office administration. Documented proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook. Desired proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Reference Manager and Endnote software.
