Administrative Assistant – Executive Director & Special Education Support Jobs in Mount Shasta, CA at Golden Eagle Charter School
Golden Eagle Charter School (GECS) is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and trustworthy Administrative Assistant to provide direct support to the Executive Director and assist our Special Education department with critical administrative tasks.
This position requires someone who can manage multiple priorities, maintain strict confidentiality, and work efficiently in a fast-paced school environment.
Position Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the Executive Director with scheduling, correspondence, meeting preparation, and operational projects.
- Scheduling IEP meetings and coordinating with parents, teachers, and service providers.
- Tracking special education paperwork, timelines, compliance requirements, and deadlines.
- Preparing reports, spreadsheets, forms, agendas, and other documents.
- Managing calendars and coordinating meeting logistics.
- Maintaining organized digital and physical records.
- Supporting school events, trainings, and operational logistics.
- Communicating professionally with staff, families, students, and outside agencies.
Required Skills
This position requires strong technology and organizational skills. The ideal candidate must have:
- Advanced Microsoft Word skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and spreadsheet management.
- Strong Google Workspace skills, including:
- Google Docs
- Google Sheets
- Google Drive
- Gmail
- Google Calendar
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or college coursework preferred.
- Two years of clerical, administrative, or student services experience preferred.
- Experience working in a school or Special Education environment preferred.
