We currently have an opening for an Administrative Assistant at Krause Funeral Home in Milwaukee, WI.

As an Administrative Assistant, you will support managers, team members, and client families through tasks such as answering calls, scheduling, creating correspondence, and data entry.

What You Will Do:

Compassion & Empathy: Answer phones, greet families, handle inquiries, and direct questions appropriately.

Technology Competent: Use Microsoft Office, company software, email, social media, online portals, webinars, and update the website as needed.

Clear Communicator: Demonstrate strong communication and grammatical skills, proof work when necessary.

Meticulous Attention: Monitor accounts, handle financials, close accounts, and manage inventory.

Follow-through: Ensure timely and professional completion of funeral service documentation such as cremation permits and death certificates.

Preparation Excellence: Maintain office neatness, manage supplies, and oversee inventory.

Active Team Member: Participate in weekly updates, and complete financial and administrative tasks monthly and quarterly.

What We Require:

High school diploma or equivalent.

At least three years of experience in a small business office environment; funeral industry experience is a plus.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to learn multiple software systems and operate office equipment.

High attention to detail and follow-up skills.

Ability to establish effective work processes internally and externally.
