About the role:

Our large government department client has identified a requirement for an Admin Support Officer to supplement their contractor workforce within a key business area. The client is seeking to engage a proactive and highly organised administrator to provide day‑to‑day operational and coordination support within a secure and fast‑paced environment.

This role supports a delivery team operating within an enterprise collaboration and productivity platform, working closely with technical and business stakeholders to ensure smooth administration, coordination, and information management.

Key Responsibilities & Skills:

  • Administrative & Team Support – Provide end‑to‑end administrative support to the delivery team, including inbox monitoring, document control, and general coordination activities
  • Enterprise Collaboration Tools – Strong experience using modern enterprise email, calendar, document management, and virtual meeting tools to support team collaboration
  • Onboarding & Access Coordination – Assist with onboarding activities, including coordination of security documentation, access requests, and stakeholder follow‑ups
  • Calendar & Meeting Management – Manage complex calendars, organise meetings, prepare agendas, and distribute papers and minutes
  • Registers & Tracking – Maintain accurate registers relating to training, security clearances, compliance documentation, and action items
  • Stakeholder Liaison – Act as a point of contact between internal teams, external vendors, and government stakeholders
  • Travel & Logistics Coordination – Coordinate travel, accommodation, meeting rooms, and visitor access requests where required
  • Documentation & Reporting – Prepare and maintain administrative documentation, trackers, and status reports
  • Attention to Detail & Confidentiality – Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining discretion and accuracy

Contract Details:

  • Duration: 12 months with 2 x 12‑month extension options
  • Location: Canberra, ACT
  • Work Environment: Full-time, on-site

Security Requirements:

To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen.

  • Due to the nature of the work environment, candidates are required to hold a minimum current NV1 Security Clearance.
