Position Summary
QBOW Child & Family Services is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant for an 8-month term to support the day‑to‑day administrative operations of the QBOW Sub Office at Beardy’s & Okemasis Cree Nation. This position plays a key role in supporting frontline staff, senior management, and finance operations while maintaining a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and organization.
The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for the office by greeting visitors and answering phones
- Direct inquiries to appropriate staff in a professional and respectful manner
- Provide administrative support across departments
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and program documentation
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and office communications
- Maintain physical and electronic filing systems
- Monitor and order office supplies
- Support scheduling, meetings, and document preparation
- Uphold strict confidentiality in all interactions and records
- Maintain a professional image when working with staff, community members, and visitors
Qualifications
- Business Administration Diploma, Office Administration Certificate, or equivalent experience
- 1–3 years’ experience in an administrative support role
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence
- Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check (prior to employment)
