Accounting Student Body Clerk – Willow Glen High School Jobs in San Jose at San Jose Unified School District

The impact you will have: As an Accounting Student Body Clerk – High School in San José Unified, you will play a critical role in supporting the financial operations of student activities, programs, and campus organizations. You will help ensure student body funds are managed accurately, responsibly, and in compliance with district policies and procedures. Through strong organization, attention to detail, and customer service, you will support students, staff, and advisors in creating enriching extracurricular experiences that contribute to a vibrant and engaging school community. You are organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple transactions and deadlines while providing excellent support to students, staff, families, and advisors. You are committed to accuracy, confidentiality, and helping create positive student experiences through strong financial and operational support.


As an Accounting Student Body Clerk – High School, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Processing and maintaining accurate records of student body financial transactions, deposits, and expenditures
  • Assisting student clubs, organizations, athletics, and activity advisors with student body account procedures and transactions
  • Preparing, collecting, and reconciling deposits, cash receipts, and financial reports in accordance with district policies and procedures
  • Monitoring student body accounts to ensure funds are managed accurately and responsibly
  • Supporting purchasing, fundraising, and payment processes for student activities and programs
  • Communicating with students, staff, families, and vendors regarding financial procedures and account information
  • Maintaining organized and confidential financial records using district systems and technology
  • Assisting with audits, reconciliations, and compliance with applicable policies and regulations
  • Providing excellent customer service while supporting a positive and engaging school environment
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient office environment

SB 848 Child Safety & Employment Disclosure Requirement


Effective January 1, 2026, in accordance with California Senate Bill 848 (School Employee Misconduct/Child Abuse Prevention Act), applicants for employment with San José Unified are subject to enhanced child safety, training, and employment disclosure requirements.


Under SB 848, schools are required to strengthen background vetting procedures and obtain employment history information related to allegations of egregious misconduct involving students. Former employers may be contacted to release records regarding substantiated findings of misconduct as permitted by law. Failure to provide complete and accurate information regarding prior educational employment or relevant misconduct findings may result in disqualification from the hiring process or withdrawal of an offer of employment.


SB 848 also expands mandated reporter requirements and requires annual child abuse prevention training for employees and certain volunteers by July 1, 2026. All employees must comply with district-adopted child safety policies, including procedures for supervising and protecting students.
