Accounting Clerk Jobs in Carolina, PR at Foxwoods El San Juan Casino
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with various accounting tasks to ensure the financial operations run smoothly. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in the casino industry.
The principal duties and functions of the position are the following:
1. Daily execution of the soft count procedure and processes as established by the Casino internal policies and in accordance with the Gaming Commission. This includes the counting of the Casino Tables Games and the Slot Machines Drops.
2. Assist in the performance of Casino income audit, slot machine reports, table games reports, cage cash counts, key control, cards and dice inventory, F&B inventory, KIOSK replenish and balancing the Cash Dispenser.
3. The Casino Accounting Clerk position is also responsible for the coordination of the currency exchange between the bank and the armored company, ensuring that the key functions of this procedure comply with the proper rules and regulations.
4. Also, the Casino Accounting Clerk is responsible for the preparation of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company (PRTC) count check, auditing of the CTR report and accounts payable are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
5. The position is responsible for adhering to the Government, Gaming Commission and Internal Company rules and regulations. The Casino Accounting Clerk should display a high degree of judgment and decision making in all customer and employee interactions while achieving the goals and priorities in a manner that reflects the Company vision, mission and values. Manage Oracle is a plus.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Some college courses in an associate accounting filed preferred.
- One to three years of progressive experience in Casino or related knowledge of Casino rules, regulations and procedures
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Ability to understand and utilize basic computer equipment and applications such as word processing and spreadsheets applications.
- Must be licensed by the PR Casino Gaming Division

Responsibilities

- Assist with audits as needed
Qualifications
- Proficiency in technical accounting procedures
- Knowledge of tax regulations and payroll processes
- Familiarity with financial concepts and mathematical skills
- Experience with accounting software like Paychex, Xero, and PeopleSoft is a plus
- Previous experience as an accounting clerk or similar role
