Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will support various accounting functions as well as ensuring accuracy and compliance with established policies and regulations.
We are an accounting team that supports towing, auto auction, and vehicle lien companies.
Responsibilities
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks Desktop, Microsoft Access, Excel and TOPS.
- Assist in tracking and managing payouts to consigners and donation companies who sell their vehicles through the auto auction.
- Perform Accounts Payable for two of the three Companies listed above.
- Assist with Accounts Receivable for all Companies.
- Assist with bookkeeping tasks, including invoicing, expense tracking, and bank reconciliations.
- Support office management duties by organizing files, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries promptly and supporting client communication efforts.
- Proven office experience with strong clerical skills and familiarity with office management procedures.
- Proficiency in computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace tools.
- Must have QuickBooks Desktop experience. TOPS and Access experience is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
- Strong phone etiquette and customer support skills to handle inquiries via multi-line phone systems professionally.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Demonstrated financial acumen with the ability to analyze data effectively.
