About the Role

The Business Operations Specialist plays a key role within the Outreach Operations team by managing provider outreach and quality assurance related to medical record collection for chart review programs. This position supports multiple initiatives such as Provider Claim Review, RADV, HEDIS, and Provider Not Participating programs. The role is critical to building and maintaining provider relationships, ensuring accurate data collection, and resolving provider issues to support the organization’s healthcare quality and compliance objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Contact providers, hospitals, and clinical staff via phone and email to explain programs and request medical records
  • Set commitments for information return and explain options for transmitting documentation
  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with providers to reduce "provider abrasion" and encourage participation
  • Conduct high-volume outbound outreach, making approximately 40 to 60 calls daily
  • Perform research to locate providers, prepare data for release, and execute follow-up activities
  • Maintain strict adherence to policies regarding Protected Health Information (PHI)
  • Respond to coaching and quality feedback to meet or exceed program-specific performance metrics
  • Balance a workload consisting of approximately 95% phone outreach and 5% research and data entry

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Experience in office, administrative, clerical, or customer service roles involving heavy phone and computer use
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Effective communication skills with a professional phone presence
  • Ability to work full-time with flexible 8-hour shifts during normal business hours (8:00 am to 5:00 pm CST)
  • Ability to secure sensitive documents and maintain information privacy in a dedicated remote work area
  • Access to an approved high-speed internet connection at the remote work location
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Pay range and compensation package

Pay Range: $20.38 — $36.44 per hour (based on experience and location)

Eligibility for a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401(k) contributions.
